A blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc, this property used to taste like a Bordeaux version of Beaujolais (25 years ago). However, that is no longer the case. The deep ruby/purple-colored 2011 Trimoulet exhibits good fruit as well as white chocolate and berry-scented notes intermixed with licorice, oak and spice. This is a well-made offering from a property that appears to be making a comeback. Enjoy it over the next 5-7 years.
