Chateau Moulin Riche by Leoville Poyferre St-Julien 2011 1500ml

The 2011 Château Moulin Riche reveals a lovely mix of berry, hazelnut, and mineral notes. It has a medium to full body with fine tannins and a fresh, balanced finish. While still youthful, the wine shows impressive finesse for the vintage. A few more years of aging will allow the complexity to unfold, making it an excellent candidate for mid-term cellaring. The wine is crafted from a single 20-hectare block in the Saint-Julien terroir, which is known for its generosity and freshness.

A wine with berry, hazelnut and mineral character. Medium to full body with fine tannins and a fresh finish. Very fine for this vintage. Needs another two to three years to open.

Further west, in the Saint-Julien area, Château Moulin Riche is made from a single block of 20 hectares. It is this terroir, unique and different from that of Léoville Poyferré, which inspired its revival, guided by the intuition of Didier Cuvelier. The wines express the generosity and freshness of the Saint-Julien terroir.
