The 2015 Montviel is medium to deep garnet-purple with a nose of warm plums, crushed blueberries and chocolate-covered cherries with touches of garrigue and fragrant earth. Full-bodied, rich and seductive, it has plenty of freshness and nice plush tannins, finishing on a fruity note.

The wood casts a cedary sheen across the nose with darker plums, violets and earthy aromas below. The palate has a compact and sturdy feel, boasting a solid tannin texture amid red-cherry and plum flavors. Try from 2021.
