Decadent and rich with leaves, sous bois and pretty fruit. Medium to full body, well-integrated tannins and a flavorful finish. Just a hint of acidity at the end gives lift and energy to the wine. Drink after 2022, but already delicious.

The 2015 Chateau Trimoulet has a more subtle bouquet than its peers, gently unfolding with blackberry and briary scents, a subtle seaweed note in the background. The palate is ripe and succulent with layers of sweet toasty black fruit. The tannins appear fine and the acidity is well judged, though the finish needs to develop more tension and a touch more backbone. Still, it has a sense of charm and comeliness.
