The 2016 Montviel is medium to deep garnet-purple colored with tobacco, redcurrants, menthol and black soil with blackberries and blueberries plus a waft of fallen leaves. The palate is medium-bodied, chewy, lively and earthy, finishing just a bit lean.

Another velvety-textured 2016 Pomerol that shows richness and beauty. Full body with plenty of hazelnut, dark-berry and spice character. Long, long finish. Drink in 2022.
