There are some 450,000 bottles of Bouchard's 2019 Bourgogne Chardonnay Reserve, a cuv?e that was bottled before the 2020 harvest, and it's showing nicely, delivering generous aromas of pear, peach, white flowers and orange oil, followed by a medium-bodied, round and open palate that's fleshy and lively.

ORIGINS: A regional appellation grown throughout the wine-growing area of Burgundy.
The Bourgogne blanc appellation covers approximately 1000 hectares. Throughout the wine-growing area, there are multiple terroirs that allow a wide range of aromas in the wines.
Our white Bourgogne "RESERVE" is mainly made of Chardonnay grapes harvested on selected terroirs in the south of Burgundy: in the Maconnais area and Cote Chalonnaise. A small part of our cuvee is also coming from the Cote de Beaune vineyards.
This is where our viniculturist plays a very important role in the selection of the grapes, as he is responsible of the Chardonnay expression in the respect of the House's know-how and style.
VINIFICATION AND MATURING: Vinification in stainless steel tanks and in oak barrels for 30% of this "RESERVE" cuvee, followed by a 6 months ageing in oak barrels (including 15% new barrels).
