Chateau Puy Mouton St-Emilion 2016 750ml

The 2016 Château Puy Mouton Saint-Émilion Grand Cru is a refined Bordeaux blend composed of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Cultivated on the southern ridge of Saint-Émilion, the vineyard's clay-limestone soils contribute to the wine's complexity and elegance. In the glass, it presents a deep ruby hue with aromas of red berries, plums, vanilla, oak, and tobacco. The palate is medium-bodied, featuring pronounced tannins, balanced acidity, and a medium finish.
This wine pairs well with roasted meats, game dishes, foie gras, farmhouse cheeses, and chocolate desserts. With an alcohol content of 14.5%, it offers an aging potential of over 10 years.

Sustained crimson colour. Very fresh and red berry aromas with hints of spices and a touch of oak. Elegant on the palate, lovely attack, good length and complexity. An extremely elegant, well-balanced wine.

A wine steeped in history and grown in a UNESCO world heritage site. But this Merlot has a refreshingly modern feel due to a dash of aromatic Cabernet Franc and and clever use of oak ageing, which have added dried herb and vanilla notes to a classic Claret.
Silky red berries, oaky spices, a Right Bank red that gets it very right. Here the plump fruity Merlot that did much to earn Saint-Emilion its UNESCO world heritage status, is given backbone, elegance and aromatics from a dash of Cabernet Franc and barrels crafted by four different producers. The additional dried herb and vanilla notes provide an extra dimension that screams out for a Sunday roast.
