This classic Pauillac with its deep garnet colour and profound aromas of blackberry and plum was touched with hints of chocolate, ground coffee, and earth. The texture is supple and silky, and the finish is deep and long. The secret here was picking a bit earlier than some: Merlot from 27 September, Cabernets from 7 October; the whole of the vineyard was in before the rains – a marvellous success that should continue to age well.

Dark crimson. Very sweet and slightly tarty on the nose. Thick, sweet and not very refreshing, with floral scents. Drying finish. Not fresh!

« Like the creation of a brand-new blend, music, through its vibrations and the unique way it resonates, has this incredible power of plunging us into our inner silence, into our most intimate emotions.
Each tune chosen forges close ties with wine and history, our history, that of Pichon Comtesse. Where were we? What did we feel? Which path did we take? And what about you? What will you feel? That’s how wine is set to music… » Nicolas Glumineau
