This is the fourth version of Garzón’s top wine, from a selection of vineyards bathed in Atlantic breezes. The blend is 40% Tannat, 34% Cabernet Franc, 18% Petit Verdot, plus Merlot and Marselan, aged for 20 months in untoasted French oak barrels. It’s full of fruit, but with herbal notes too, and sharp, fine tannins. An elegant and deep wine for ageing.

Blackberries and tar with black walnuts and dried violets. Full-bodied, yet so tight and focused with beautifully polished, precise tannins that give a beautiful texture. This is deep and gorgeous. Extremely attractive and reserved. Better after 2022.

The ballast soil in Garzon is decomposed granite rock with excellent drainage and permeability. It is ideal to provide this iconic Uruguayan wine with its elegance, complexity, energy and vibrancy.
On the nose this elegantly spiced wine displays fresh red and black fruits notes. In the mouth tannins are juicy and vibrant with energy and vitality associated to an excellent texture and long finish.
