Dark fruit with cedar and herbal notes on the nose. Some meat, too. it's full-bodied with firm tannins. Juicy and savory character on the palate with a balanced structure. Flavorful finish. Second wine. Try after 2023 when it will be more together.

Solid crimson. Firm and solid with a little development and some complexity. Some ripe tannins on the end but before that there is lots of polish. Very well made. But is it that much better than the best petits châteaux that sell for so much less?

AMIRAL DE BEYCHEVELLE - Chateau Beychevelle's Second Wine
The rigorous selection process undergone by the grand vin results in the creation of its younger brother, Amiral de Beychevelle. Despite being made from young vines, Amiral de Beychevelle benefits from the same growing techniques, meticulous sorting, and traditional barrel ageing. It has the same elegance and finesse as its older brother, but reveals its character more quickly, offering wine-enthusiasts the full vivacity of its youth. It can be kept for up to fifteen years, depending on the vintage.
