I love the white flowers, lemon cream and just a hint of toast here. A seriously structured wine with a firm core and quite some salinity. Lots of dried herbs at the end. Impressive balance at the surprisingly long finish. 60% chardonnay and 40% pinot noir including 40% reserve wines from a perpetual solera. Drink now.

A blend of 60% Chardonnay (sourced only in the Côte de Blancs) and 40% Pinot Noir, the Barons de Rothschild NV Brut Nature evokes a delicate, saline bouquet with aromas of iodine, peach, spring flowers and pepper. Medium-bodied with an incisive, tense palate, it has a mouthwatering, penetrating finish.

Shortbread and dried lemon rind shyly play off each other on the nose. Biscuity, rounded richness with pleasant smokiness on the palate with lasting, slightly umami finish.

60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir. Based on 2017 harvest. 40% reserve wine. At least four years on lees. Dosage 5 g/l.
Bright primary lemon fruit with toffee and caramel on the palate – plenty of maturity here, yet not so much autolysis. Savoury and slaty on the nose, in a style that is almost akin to good Riesling Sekt. Smoky finish. A bit sharp and almost austere.

The tasting experience of the Brut Nature
Eyes - Crystal clear and pure, with a silky appearance, pale gold tints and very fine bubbles.
Nose - The first nose is very pure and franc, full of minerality and salinity with notes of white fruit such as nectarine or peach.
Palate - The fresh attack is delicately followed by saline notes and a lovely lemony tension. Its natural sweetness is accompanied by a very aromatic richness, dominated by white-fleshed fruit, and reveals a texture that is both precise and juicy.
