Chateau Lagrange St-Julien 2012 750ml

The 2012 Château Lagrange is firm and balanced with flavors of blueberries, blackberries, and hints of citrus and minerals. Its medium body and fine tannins lead to a fresh finish. The wine offers a fine expression of Cabernet fruit with subtle oak, showing elegance and depth. Though youthful, it has a harmonious structure that will develop well with age, benefiting from a few more years of cellaring. A solid representation of St-Julien, it offers a long, impressive finish.

Soft berry and blackcurrant fruit with background earth and subtle oak is present in this medium-bodied, slightly austere and angular style of wine. It will benefit from another 2-3 years of cellaring and should keep well for 12-15 years.

Tasted blind. Mid crimson. Suggestion of somewhat plump fruit on the nose. Solid representative of the appellation. Unapologetically youthful but all the elements are there. Quite long.
