Established by wine industry mavericks Marquis Sauvage and his wife Dianne in 2002, Burn Cottage is a family-owned vineyard, farm, and estate nestled in the heart of Central Otago, New Zealand. The three estate vineyards, residing at the foot of the Pisa Mountain range and in Bannockburn, are phenomenal sites for Pinot Noir, producing wines with expressive bouquets and intriguing aromas combined with kaleidoscopic fruit notes on the palate.

Burn Cottage was the first winery to farm biodynamically in Central Otago since its inception in 2002. With an unwavering commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship, Burn Cottage embodies the harmony between nature and the art of fine winemaking. Burn Cottage is now recognised as one of New Zealand’s most iconic Pinot Noir producers, gaining critical acclaim from the international wine press and finding its way into the world’s most famous restaurants. With every vintage, they gradually cement their place amongst the finest Pinot Noir producers in the world.
