Michel Magnien Gevrey-Chambertin Cazetiers Premier Cru 2021 750ml
Domaine-magnien.com
Geographic description
Located in south of Dijon, the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation is the top village of the Côte de Nuits. In 1847, by royal order of King Louis Philippe, the name Chambertin was attached to Gevrey and officially became Gevrey-Chambertin. The word Cazetiers comes from Castel in the Middle Ages, from which Castet, then Cazetiers, were derived. The term Castel is indicative of the geographical position of the climate within the village as the plot is located above Gevrey.
Geological description
The plot is located next to "Clos St Jacques". "Les Cazetiers" are exposed to the east, ideal for Pinot Noir. Overlooked by an oak wood, this climate is protected from the bad weather. Rather marly in the top, this plot is very steep with a lot of pebbles.
Food & Wine Agreement
A roasted or braised red meat will be nicely accompanied by this Premier Cru.
